I can’t believe there are only 5 days left until the end of the year?! Where did the time go?
As the end of the year quickly approaches, for today’s #15From2015 I want to introduce you to someone who certainly did not sit still this year! @MereTheRunner14 has completed 9 marathons, qualified for Boston, and even done a couple triathlons. I’m convinced this free-spirited firecracker of a woman couldn’t sit still if she tried. She’s always running, and going, and training, and chasing the next big goal. She says “believe that you can and YOU will!” and I totally believe that about her. She can and she will!
This year alone she ran 15 races. I’m exhausted just reading it!

12.) TCS NYC Marathon: This was my most meaningful / memorable race of 2015′ was TCS NYC Marathon. I suddenly lost my sister just 3 days before. She had plans to be at the finish line to cheer me on and planned to surprise me by having my whole family there! When she passed away, I thought deeply about deferring my race. My sister supported my running and was a strong woman that never gave up and I know she would have wanted me to run so that’s what I did. I ran in her memory. I didn’t race because my sister was never “competitive,” she loved to run but never raced. I ran with no music so I could take it all in and run in peace. I ran every mile in memory of my sister! I ran soo strong. I truly believe my sister was pushing my legs along. I crossed the finish line feeling like I could have kept going. I ran every mile for my sister and I can honestly say I’ve never run 26.2 miles feeling so strong.

15.) Ted Corbitt 15k
