1. Sweet potatoes: We love these because they are packed

with nutrients and SO versatile! You can use them to

make sweet potato hash (my favorite), fries, and even

sweet potato hummus! Delish!

2. Grandma’s Hummus: The absolute BEST store-bought

hummus! It tastes fresh and just like hummus you

would get at a really good Greek restaurant. You can

find it at Whole foods or Central Market!Equipping Strength

3. Trader Joes Reduced Guilt Guacamole: If you have a

serious love for guacamole like I do, you will notice you

will be packing on the fat calories if you aren’t careful.

That is why I LOVE this guacamole! It’s made with

Greek Yogurt, so it cuts down on the fat and bumps up

the protein a bit! Perfect for dipping your chicken or

veggies in!

4. Chicken Kabobs: Our staple when we go out to a

Mediterranean restaurant but also great to make at

home on the grill! Grilled veggies + Grilled Chicken =

perfect combo!

5. Saffron Rice: By now you can probably tell we love

Greek/Mediterranean food! I, personally am not a huge

rice person (my husband, now that’s a different story!)

but I love saffron rice. Something about the flavor

makes it like a whole different food!

6. Halo Top Creamery: I’m alone on this one because

Austin doesn’t like sweets (how could he not, right?!)

but this ice cream is my top FAVORITE find in 2015.

Lower in sugar AND fat, Halo Top is creamy goodness

packed with protein AND fiber. Unlike some of the

other low calorie/fat ice creams, this one tastes like

REAL ice cream!

7. Quest Bars: Our FAVORITE protein bars, and trust us

we’ve tried them all! These have 20g of protein, 7-9g of

fat, and about 22g carbs. Chocolate chip cookie has to

be the BEST one of all! Want to know a secret? Remove

cookie dough quest bar from wrapper and microwave

for 10-12 seconds, then EAT. Warm and gooey like a

chocolate chip cookie! YUM!

8. Maranatha Almond Butter: We both LOVE nut butter!

This is one of our favorite brands because it is creamy,

all natural, and you don’t have to stir it! Win, win!

9. Zoodles: I registered for a spiralizer (Paderno brand)

when we got married last year and it’s one of the best,

most used gifts I’ve ever received, because ZOODLES,

aka Zucchini Noodles! I peel the zucchini, spiralize it,

and sauté the zoodles on a pan until soft. Then I add my

protein, sauce, and eat it like spaghetti! Low carb yet

very filling!

10. Cellucor Protein: Hands down the best tasting whey

protein we’ve ever tried! It’s one of the BEST for baking

too! Molten Chocolate and Vanilla are staples in our

house. I’ve made protein pancakes, waffles, muffins, pb

protein bites, and more using this protein! If you’re

running short on time in the mornings, add a scoop to

your oatmeal! If you order at Cellucor.com you can

receive 25% and free shipping using promo code

11 Salsa: A must have at ALL times! We put salsa on

literally everything! It’s great as a dip, marinade, salad

dressing, etc! Have you ever heard of Salsa Crock-pot

chicken? Place raw chicken breast in the crock-pot and

cover with a jar of salsa. Cook on low for 7-8 hours.

Shred chicken breasts with a fork and Voila! You have

shredded chicken that’s juicy & delicious!

12. Roasted Veggies: Give me ALL the veggies! Brussel

sprouts, cauliflower, bell peppers, butternut squash,

carrots and more! Drizzle with olive oil and roast in

oven at 425 for about 20-25 min.9PYwhFppYhxhQxFmPxET9VWJSsZN1I78vN51vGO58YA

13. Honeycrisp Apples: An apple a day keeps the doctor

away! These apples are our favorite because they are

crispy with a hint of sweetness. Drizzle a little peanut

butter on top, sprinkle with cinnamon and you have the

perfect snack!

14. Pizza: Give me a patio on a fall evening, a glass of wine,

and a slice of pizza and I’m a happy girl. We love going

out for date nights at our favorite pizza spot, Fireside

Pies. Other times we order in or make homemade pizza.

Definitely a top favorite! I love pizza with lots of

toppings: spinach, veggies, goat cheese, a little

mozzarella, and roasted chicken…okay I’m getting

hungry now. 😉

15. Chicken Fajitas: Another one of our favorites when

we want a quick meal out is Chicken Fajitas for two. We

can go to Glorias and within 10minutes of ordering our

sizzling fajitas are out. It’s so easy to watch your

portions when it comes to fajitas. If you’re cutting carbs

or just calories in general, then nix the chips and

tortillas and load up on guacamole, chicken, and

veggies. So delish! They are also a great quick and easy

option to make from home!
